The Artificial Reef was a project by the Cyprus Dive Centre Association and Cyprus Fisheries Department. In 2015 it was completed. Since then it becomes more and more a breeding ground for a variety of marine life.
The reef is a five minute boat ride away from the Golden Coast fishing shelter in Pernera.
The Artificial Reef consists of large fishing nets, concrete pipes, large boulders and concrete blocks, which are all connected via a guidance line along the ocean floor. When you dive along the reef you will have the chance to see schools of amber jacks or barracudas, lots of rainbow wrasse and groupers and when you are lucky a variety of nudi branches or a turtle feeding in the sea gras.
